LEAD CITY UNIVERSITY MOUNTS FIRST EVER INTRA-UNIVERSITY DEBATE COMPETITION

The great thing about life is when there is a definition to it and purpose to eliminate scrambles of distortions and distractions. Lead City Voices has come to make it happen and provide a qualitative, quantitative and edifying disposal of a meaningful life to Nigerians and the world at large. 

Lead City Voices, a team of dedicated intellectual students of Lead City University, Ibadan, with proven abilities to deliver and bring about positive change among youths and the general public alike, is organizing a three-day “Intra-University debate scheduled to hold from Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th of April, 2014 at the University International Conference Centre, Ibadan Oyo state. 

The ultimate aim of this three-day event – Lead City Voices Intra-University Debate – is to fuse creativity, patriotism, political and socio-economic development among youths in Nigeria. This event will also aim at creating a platform where solutions to some of the issues faced by our nation “Nigeria” will be provided after they have been thoroughly analyzed. This three-day programme will be covered by various media organizations.

The highlight of this auspicious event will be the presentation of ‘Friend of Lead City University Award’ to our honourary guest(s) in recognition of their sterling and commendable efforts towards youth and national development. Expected at this three-day programme are Mr. Yanju Adegbite, CEO of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, (BCOS),  Mr. Isaac Oluyi of the National Centre for Technology Management, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Barrister Timi Olagunju of Sync Legal, Lagos, Barrister (Mrs.) Adejoke Layi-Babatunde of LawBreed Foundation, Lagos, Mr. Femi Oribamise of Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos, Mr. Gbenga Omisore, Publisher of Youth Digest Africa magazine, Ibadan, Mr. Ishaya Ibrahim, a senior journalist in Lagos and Mr. Dapo Lam-Adesina, the Honourable Commissioner for Industry, Applied Sciences, & Technology,  Oyo state.

Join us as two departments “the almighty Mass Communication and Media Technology and the great Computer sciences” counter each other on this topic come April 14th, 2014.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS NATURAL AND NOT MAN-MADE
Politics & International Relations VS Microbiology
Climate change is no longer a new thing. One minute, the sun is shining to its peak, a single thunder strike ushers in the rain which can last forever. It’s an issue that has been scientifically argued and discussed on local and international platforms. Kindly welcome the representatives of the departments of international relations and microbiology as they argue out the origin and cause of climate change.

LEADERS AND NOT FOLLOWERS ARE TO BLAME FOR NIGERIA’S UNDERDEVELOPMENT

Join us as we watch the department of Biochemistry locks horns with the Economics department on whether leaders and not followers are to blame for Nigeria’s underdevelopment.
